This is a game for 2-3 players using a deck of 52 cards. During the game each player sets down three rows of cards:
- Front row - 3 cards; should be weaker than the middle and back rows. - Middle row - 5 cards; should be stronger than the front, but weaker than the back row. The 5 back row cards; should be stronger than the other two rows.
At the start, each player is dealt five cards. The players take turns to set out their cards as they prefer. Cards are placed face-up. After each player has set out their first five cards, they are each dealt three cards at a time from the deck. Of these three cards, a player must set out two and discard one. This continues until all players have set out 13 cards.
Once all players have set out 13 cards, their hands are compared on a row-by-row basis. Victory on two rows is rewarded with +1 point, while victory across all three rows is rewarded with +6 points (for example, Player A beat Player B on the front and middle rows, and Player A receives +1 point, while Player B loses -1 point). If the (hierarchy) of the rows is violated, the player loses -6 points for each row and receives no bonuses (for example, if his/her front row is stronger than the middle row).
